Following are a few handy tips that golf pros use:

  • Grip Pressure – Hanging onto the grip too tightly will create tension in your arms which will have you making unnecessary jerky movements, generally on the downswing.
  • Maintain a relaxed neck – This is where most pressure is built up. Keeping your neck relaxed while putting as well as throughout the golf swing will see you hitting better shots under pressure.
  • Walk half a step slower as you approach to hit your ball – We all want to find out as quickly as possible if we have hit a good shot or not. Walking a touch slower in the ball will help you avoid “rushing”.
  • Focused Eyes – If your eyeballs stay still, you take in less around you so you tend to focus more on the target.
